Our ºÚÁÏÈë¿Ú Elite Athlete Centre (PEAC) is the premium strength and conditioning facility on the south coast.

Designed by practitioners and academics alongside the industry leader in strength equipment, Eleiko, the space enables students to learn and develop their practical skills within a state of the art facility. PEAC combines these educational needs with those of elite athletes, and offers a premium training experience for a range of users. Featuring seamless lifting stations and flooring, and increased space between equipment PEAC provides a training space for everyone.

This facility is currently under construction and is expected to open in early 2025.

Equipment

Strength and Conditioning

  • Eight dedicated lifting stations each consisting of a power rack, embedded lifting platform and rack attachments (jammer arms, dip station, hip thrust pad, eccentric pulley system).
  • 17 m custom turf track with weight sleds, hurdles, plyo boxes and speed ladders.
  • Twenty-four International Weightlifting Federation and International Powerlifting Federation approved barbells, in addition to specialist bars (e.g. open trap bar and safety squat bar)
  • International Weightlifting Federation approved weight plates
  • Extensive free weights including eight adjustable weight benches, 50 kg dumbbell set, competition kettlebells and a range of medicine and slam balls.
  • Multigym cable machine including cable crossover, seated row and lat pulldown.
  • A range of gym machines such as leg press, seated calf raise, leg extension and glute-ham developer
  • Concept2 conditioning equipment including bike and ski ergs

Sports Science

  • Gold standard jump and force testing using Hawkyns Dynamics portable force plates and isometric mid-thigh pull rig
  • Velocity based training devices including GymAware
  • Speed and agility testing using Optojump and electronic timing gates
