Summary

Dr. Natasha Gjorevska is a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies and Human Resource Management. She joined the ºÚÁÏÈë¿Ú in October 2021. She completed a PhD in Business and Management (summa cum laude) at Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary). She also completed a second PhD in Organisation Studies at The University of Roehampton, London.

Her research interests focus on the intersection between alternative organising, values, well-being and food organising. She is involved in various research projects that explore organisational behaviour phenomena in contexts such as alternative food networks and social enterprises. Her main research outputs, to date, have investigated the role of third sector organisations for multi-stakeholder well-being outcomes and have explored the key drivers behind social change. She is currently investigating the role of civil society/community involvement in alternative organising around food as a driver of social change. Her research also accounts for the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on third sector organisations and considers transitioning to post-pandemic, post-capitalist organising.

Dr. Gjorevska has subject expertise in leadership and sustainability, value-based organising, well-being and social enterprises; and methodological expertise in qualitative methodologies such as qualitative interviewing and qualitative data analysis, inlcuding creative methodologies such as visual data collection and analysis, and story completion methods.

Dr. Gjorevska has participated in the following research projects:

  • EFOP-3.6.2-16-2017-00007: ‘Aspects on the development of intelligent, sustainable and inclusive society: social, technological, innovation networks in employment and digital economy’. The project has been supported by the European Union, co-financed by the European Social Fund and the budget of Hungary (January 2017 – January 2019).
  • CEEMAN Lead4Skills Project: developing relevant and innovative management education offerings and study processes, based on the real needs of businesses and economies - an Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project bringing together 8 organisations (HEIs) from 7 different countries, funded with support from the European Commission (February 2016 - July 2018).

Dr. Gjorevska is currently working on two research project bids:

  • Seeds of the Alternative Futures: Democratizing Knowledge and Reviving Sociability by Engaging the Sociological Imagination.
  • Sustainable Eating for Urban Islands (ºÚÁÏÈë¿Ú).

Dr. Gjorevska is currently supervising two PhD and one DBA student, and would be interested in supervising further PhD students in these areas: leadership and management, business ethics and sustainability, value-based organising and well-being.
